About this role

What you would do

Build a one to one friendship with a matched buddy, starting over email
Move to social media, video chats or texting as the friendship grows
Use the Conversation Starters in the monthly newsletter to keep messages going
Join monthly virtual social events on Zoom such as trivia, Zumba, movie nights and paint parties
Post and comment in the monitored community platform: photos, videos, Q and As, polls and likes
Join interest groups on the community platform
Complete a brief training on safety and etiquette for communicating in a virtual space

Best Buddies International connects people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities. e-Buddies runs entirely online, so a match may live in another state or another country. The friendship grows through regular messages, and the wider community gives members more ways to take part.
