The Smithsonian Transcription Center opens digitized collections from Smithsonian museums, archives and libraries to the public. Volunteers turn handwritten and printed pages into text that anyone can search. Materials range from the 16th century to the present day. All you need is a computer and internet access, and you can work at your own pace for as long as you like.
