About this role

Teen volunteers assist the Bloomfield Public Library in many different ways, from straightening shelves, to packing materials to send to other libraries, to providing computer assistance to patrons. Applicants complete an application and meet with the Volunteer Services director before being accepted into the program. Volunteers under 18 who need service for specific programs are accepted on a short-term basis, which makes this a workable option for a defined service requirement. A parent or guardian signs a consent form. Student volunteers must be Bloomfield residents, and applications are kept on file for future openings because the program fills quickly.
