About this role
Junior volunteers support care teams across Hackensack Meridian Health and help create a comfortable environment and a positive health care experience for patients. They interact with patients, visitors, physicians and team members, complete relevant departmental training, wear the provided uniform and learn to work as part of a team. The application requires proof of required medical vaccinations and attendance at a mandatory onboarding training session. Volunteers commit to a minimum of four hours per week and at least 80 hours per year, and may complete more. Note that the Unit Support role, which involves delivering comfort items and transporting patients, is restricted to volunteers 18 and older.
