About this role

What you would do

  • Lead or support tours at the 1879 Emlen Physick Estate
  • Assist with tours or events at the Cape May Lighthouse
  • Conduct tours or support events at the World War II Lookout Tower
  • Staff promotional tables as a Marketing Ambassador
  • Join the weekly grounds crew at the Physick Estate on Fridays in season
  • Support house tours such as the Garden Tour and the Christmas Candlelight House Tour
  • Help at festivals such as the Cape May Music Festival and the Harvest Brew Festival
  • Assist museum staff with research or other curatorial projects
Cape May MAC looks after historic sites and runs festivals around Cape May. Volunteers pick the areas that suit them and log their hours online. Hours build toward Silver, Gold and Platinum recognition levels. Many roles follow the tour and festival calendar.
