About this role
What you would do
- Walk dogs once you have finished dog walking training
- Socialize cats once you have finished cat room training
- Help with shelter animal care, cleaning and general tasks
- Assist with fundraising events
- Greet people and answer questions at community outreach events
- Hand out materials at outreach tables
- Offer a skill such as graphic design, IT or landscaping
The Humane Society of Ocean City runs a shelter on Shelter Road. Animal handling roles need training before a first shift. Training runs on set days each month and other dates can be arranged. Some volunteering happens off site at community events.
