About this role

What you would do

Cat Socializing: spend time with cats by playing, petting and helping them become more comfortable with people
Shelter Support: assist with light housekeeping that keeps the shelter clean, organized and running smoothly
Kennel Attendant: help staff with cleaning and preparing cat and dog housing areas, training provided
Outreach and Events: assist with setup and breakdown at fundraising, adoption and community outreach events
Donation Transport: help transport donated supplies to rescue partners, needs a valid driver's license

Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter takes in cats and dogs in East Hanover. Volunteers age 14 and up work inside the shelter building and at community events. Dog walking and advanced cat socialization are held back for volunteers 18 and older.
