About this role
Valley high school volunteers serve in a range of patient care and administrative areas across the hospital. Tasks include clerical work, fulfilling department project requests, transporting patients in wheelchairs, delivering mail and assisting at community events. Assignments are matched to individual interests, skills and the needs of the health system. Morning, afternoon, evening and weekend positions are available, which makes this one of the more schedule-flexible hospital programs in Bergen County. The program does not offer shadowing opportunities to high school volunteers.
