About this role
What you would do
Critter Care: feed turtles, snakes, insects, frogs and fish, or clean their cages
Sunday Stewardship: rain gardens, trail maintenance, planting and invasive removal
StreamWatch: take water quality measurements and do habitat and macroinvertebrate monitoring
Welcome Desk: greet visitors, answer phone calls and make sales in the shop
Butterfly House Crew: weeding, watering, catching butterflies and caring for caterpillars
Special events: registration, education, entertainment, setup and cleanup
The Watershed Institute runs volunteer teams across science, stewardship, education and visitor services. Each team sets its own minimum age, so check the role before you apply. Sunday Stewardship runs March through November. The Butterfly House crew works Tuesdays from mid-June through August.
